Rolex is a watch brand that has long been associated with prestige and power. Worn by some of the most important people in history, Rolex watches make a statement about the men and women who wear them.
Timeless, beautiful, and carefully engineered, this is a brand worn by those who appreciate exceptional quality and impeccable performance.
Since its birth in 1905, Rolex has been attracting the great and the good, with its watches gracing the wrists of some of history’s most famous men.
From Elvis to JFK and Martin Luther King, the watch has become a symbol of greatness. A watch that sets the wearer apart from the crowd. The magic and desirability has endured, with celebrities today keen to slip on this most famous of watch brands.
We take a closer look at the modern celebrity men who step out in Rolex, below.
The record-breaking tennis player Roger Federer (with an astonishing 20 Grand Slams to his name) has a long-time love affair with Rolex. He was even wearing a Rolex watch when he broke Pete Sampras’ Grand Slam record at Wimbledon.
Since 2012, he has been a Rolex ambassador and that means he has more than a few beautiful watches in his collection. The model he was wearing on that record-breaking day in 2009 was a Rolex Datejust II in Stainless Steel.
This sleek and understated watch is perfect for everyday wear. Even if that day is the day you win Wimbledon and become the best tennis player of all time. The watch is a prized possession of Federer's, bringing back fond memories of that epic day at Wimbledon.
This year we spotted Roger wearing a Rolex Sky-Dweller when he won the Australian Open. He claimed his 20th Grand Slam title with a stainless steel model on his wrist, featuring a striking blue dial.
It’s rumoured that his favourite watch is a vintage Rolex Daytona 6263 from 1981. This eye-catching model was a gift from his wife Mirka on his 30th birthday.

Jay-Z is one half of music’s most powerful couple, as well as being a multi-million album selling artist and successful businessman.
With a rumoured fortune of 810 million dollars, it’s no surprise that he likes to splash out on life’s luxuries and this includes an incredibly impressive watch collection.
Although he is a fan of several high-profile brands, it seems he has a particular soft-spot for Rolex watches; the rarer and more exclusive the better.
Some notable models from his collection include a Rolex Day-Date in platinum with arabic numerals and a Rolex Perpetual Calendar customised by acclaimed watchmaker, Franck Muller. This unique customisation means you won’t find another watch like it anywhere in the world.

Influential British rock guitarist, Eric Clapton has a string of awards so long it’s easy to lose count. With a cool 18 Grammys, 4 Ivor Novellos, and 3 entries into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame, it’s little wonder he is regarded as a musical icon.
But did you know that Eric was also an avid collector? His collections include guitars (of course), Ferrari's, art, and luxury watches.
Rolex features heavily in his broad collection of timepieces and he is often seen wearing a beautiful Rolex watch when he plays. In fact, his watch collection is so vast he has previously auctioned off part of it for charity.
Highlights include a Rolex Day-Date in yellow gold with a punchy black dial, a Daytona in 18k Gold with a black Oysterflex strap, a vintage Paul Newman Daytona (on a fatstrap) and a GMT Master II in stainless steel with a ceramic bezel.
Our favourite, though, is his Rolex Milgauss in stainless steel with white and orange luminescent hour markers. Designed to withstand magnetism, this is a watch you can’t fail to notice.

Tiger Woods exploded onto the golfing scene back in 1996 at just 20 and had won his first major at just 21. Since then, he's achieved a host of golfing firsts and is one of the most talented and influential players the sport has seen.
When away from the course, Woods is at home in the ocean as an avid diver, so it makes sense that one of his favourite watches is a Rolex Deepsea in Stainless Steel with a black ceramic Bezel. Woods claims this watch has been around the world with him close to ten times!
Another beautiful watch he is linked with is the Rolex Day-Date II President in 18k White Gold. This stunning timepiece is clean, crisp and perfectly balanced.

Best known as the lead singer of Maroon 5 and judge on talent show, The Voice, Adam Levine has something of a Rolex addiction. A vintage watch lover, he has been building an incredibly exciting vintage Rolex collection for years.
It seems he has not only a Rolex for every occasion but a different one for every day of the week!
One of the most coveted vintage Rolex watches is the Rolex Daytona Paul Newman and Adam has not one, but three! One in yellow gold and two in stainless steel – one with a black and the other with a white ‘panda’ dial. It’s enough to make even the most hardened watch collector jealous!
Another stunning watch from his vintage collection is a GMT-Master in yellow gold with a Jubilee bracelet. This was the watch he wore when he was voted ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ by People Magazine in 2013.

Brad Pitt is another celebrity with an enviable collection of luxury watches. He owns watches by Patek Philippe, Cartier, and TAG Heuer to name just a few, but it’s his collection of Rolex watches that really caught our eye.
The Fight Club star is often seen in his Rolex Day-Date II in yellow gold with a contrasting black dial and black numerals. This is a watch that has subtle glamour in spades and is a perfect accessory for business or eveningwear.
For something a little sportier, he also owns a Rolex Daytona in stainless steel with a white dial. We can’t wait to see what the newly single star adds to his collection next.
